From Cullen Kelly’s The Colorist’s Ten Commandments. In color grading, the colors of things we look at every single day, like skin tone, sky, and foliage. Color grading’s primary goal is to make sure that memory colors look correct in all the shots. Kelly says: “The foundation of any effective color grade is an image that feels natural and consistent with physical reality.”
