About Us
Frostline Studios is a full-service digital media production house in Anchorage, Alaska.
Our Mission
is to entertain and inspire people all over the world to help us all to live fulfilled lives with passion and grace. We produce films and music that lift the human spirit, with an unwavering vision for a better world.
We are
a diverse group of artists, storytellers, musicians, and lovers of life. Our clarity of vision gives us the ability to identify challenges and find solutions with open minds, creative thought, and captivating storytelling.
We have over 20 years of award-winning video and audio production experience on feature-length films, documentaries, TV shows, national and regional corporate branding campaigns, broadcast TV and radio commecials, music, audiobooks — in short: if you can dream it, we can do it.
Whether we are helping a local Alaskan business find its voice or collaborating with a global network on a major motion picture, we bring the same level of Emmy® Award-winning dedication to every frame and fader.
For our local partners, we are a “do-it-all” creative ally—taking projects from initial concept through to final delivery. We understand the unique logistics of the North, from navigating extreme sub-zero environments to respecting the cultural protocols of Indigenous communities.
For the global film and television industry, we serve as the definitive high-tech outpost in Alaska. Our team has had the privilege of providing remote ADR, location sound, and post-production services for some of the biggest names in entertainment, including HBO (True Detective: Night Country), 20th Television (The Great North, Alaska Daily), Netflix, Hulu, BBC, and National Geographic.
Our clients love working with us, whether they are in the studio here in Anchorage, or directing a session via remote phone patch from LA, New York, or London, and our work takes us all over Alaska — all the way up to as Utqiaġvik and as far south as Ketchikan — as well as all over the Lower 48 and beyond.
When not travelling, you can find us at our studio in Anchorage, Alaska. Our 5,800 square foot facility has multiple top-of-the-line edit suites, a cyc wall, and a full-service sound studio equipped to record and mix your project in Dolby Atmos.
The “Frostline standard” is upheld by a team of artists and technicians who have, to date, collectively earned 10 Emmy® Awards. Led by founder Richard A. Cooper, our team remains grounded in the community we serve, supporting local initiatives like MusicAlaska and Adventure for Ava.
Whether you need a local crew that knows the Alaskan terrain or a post-production house that understands the nuances of a Dolby Atmos deliverable, Frostline Studios is your partner in the North.
